Welcome to our Gravel Camps
Michael and Dimitris are looking forward to welcoming you to Greece on the beautiful Costa Navarino. We organise the Gravel Camps in two levels so that our guests feel neither under- nor overchallenged. Decide on the spot which pace and distance suits you best.

Short bio
Michael has been discovering the world on a touring bicycle since his youth, which is how the Swiss-born cyclist finally came to Greece. Here he set up the South Peloponnese Cycling Centre, which he has managed since 2019. He is particularly fond of gravel bicycles.
Michael will not only guide you through an enchanting landscape – as a trained cultural scientist, he will also take you on a journey of discovery through the history and culture of Greece.

The «Local»
Short bio
As a passionate mountain biker and long-time Huerzel racing bike guide, he knows the area like no other. He will guide you safely along remote country lanes and adventurous trails. His dynamic and upbeat manner is infectious.
As head mechanic at the South Peloponnese station, he will also give you a few tips on riding technique and bicycle maintenance.

Camp program in detail
Day 1: Friday
-
Individual journey (preferably directly to Kalamata). Bicycle handover and welcome aperitif at the cycling centre*. Important information about the tours.
* For participants travelling from Zurich with Edelweiss, Bicycle collection incl. aperitif is possible on the following day.
Day 2: Saturday
- Rolling in, gravel technique, group organisation, dinner – including information about the country and its people.
Day 3: Sunday
- Approx. 5-hour gravel tour.
Day 4: Monday
- Approx. 5-hour gravel tour.
Day 5: Tuesday
- Rest day. Possibility of individual excursions e.g. dream bay Voidokilia, castle of Pylos, one-day excursion to Ancient Olympia.
Day 6: Wednesday
- King's stage for both strength classes with a visit to ancient Messene and wine tasting. Bus transfer back to the hotel.
Day 7: Thursday

Final tour of approx. 4-5 hours and dinner in the village tavern.
Day 8: Friday
- Individual extension or journey back home.
