Payment/app account
How can I pay for guided tours?
Currently, all major credit cards and PayPal are supported. Tokens or payments in boutiques are no longer available.
Do I have to pay for each tour separately?
No. You can top up your app account with any amount you like, which will then be used to pay for booked tours easily.
I cancelled a tour, or it was called off – what happens to my money?
The money will be credited back to your app account. Any balance on your app account will automatically be used for your next booking.
What happens to my balance if I don’t use it?
The money remains in your account without any loss – meaning you can use it on a future visit. Alternatively, you can request a refund to your credit card or PayPal account.
I still have tokens – are they still valid?
No, but you can exchange them for cash in any of our boutiques.
Booking
When can tours be booked?
As soon as tours appear in the app, they are available for booking. Before the season starts, you can check the app to see when bookings will open.
Can I sign up other people?
Yes, you can sign up as many additional people as you like.
When will the detailed tour descriptions be available?
The detailed descriptions for the following week’s tours will be published by Friday at 12:00 noon at the latest. Guides may also publish their tours earlier.
Until when can I sign up or change my booking?
Signing up or changing a booking is possible until the tour starts – provided the maximum number of 12 participants has not been reached.
Is there a waiting list for fully booked tours?
Yes, you can opt to be notified if a place becomes available in a fully booked tour. Please note that there is no automatic transfer – you will need to book or change your booking yourself.
How can I book a tour if I don’t have a smartphone, credit card or PayPal account?
Another person can book the tour for you. Please note that guides cannot make bookings.
Cancellation/rebooking
Can I cancel a tour booking?
Yes, cancellations are possible. The cancellation policy depends on the time of cancellation:
- Until 23:59 on the day before the tour: 100% of the cost will be credited to your app account.
- On the day of the tour until the start time: 50% of the cost will be credited to your app account.
- After the official start time: No cancellation is possible, and no refund will be given.
- If the tour is rescheduled on the same day (e.g. due to bad weather): Cancellation is possible free of charge at any time.
Can I switch to a different guide at short notice?
Yes, you can switch to a different group at any time and free of charge until the tour starts.
Rescheduling/cancellations by Huerzeler
What happens if a tour is rescheduled on the same day?
The tour leader may postpone the start due to critical weather conditions or other events. In this case, bookings remain valid, but you can cancel free of charge until the new start time.
What happens if a tour is cancelled entirely?
If a tour is completely cancelled for the day, the amount will automatically be refunded to your app account. If a replacement tour takes place on another day, you will need to sign up again.
